GREETINGS LILLY FAMILY AND FRIENDS:

Welcome to the 78^th Lilly Reunion.  Dates for the reunion are August 10, 11 and 12, 2007.  I look forward to seeing each one of you.  There will be a good lineup of entertainment and many activities for the children.

Kick-off time for the reunion is Friday evening, August 10, 2007; with a home-cooked dinner buffet at 5:30 p.m. Entertainment will be provided during the dinner. Adult tickets are $10.00 each and children, age 12 and under, are $2.50 each. Dinner tickets may be purchased from a board member or ordered from Sarah Chapman.  If ordering tickets, make check payable to Lilly Reunion Association and mail to: Sarah Chapman, P.O. Box 484, Daniels, WV  25832.  Please send a self addressed stamped envelope.

Following the dinner, “CUZ’N Night” will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  This is the time for family and friends to show their singing, musical or dancing talents.  A copy of the rules can be found on the web site: www.lillyreunion.org.  If interested, contact Tom Okes (304) 763-2088).

Advertising or memorials can be placed in the program book. Contact Joe Akers (304-252-1950) to place your ads or memorials.

Also spaces are available on the dining room wall to place a photo honoring a deceased loved one for a $100.00 contribution.  If interested, contact Berndel Lilly (304-787-3326).

The reunion will have a genealogy booth for those who would like to trace their ancestry line.  We are also pleased to announce we are making long-range plans for a Lilly Museum to store artifacts, historical papers, etc. which relate to the Lilly Family.  Don’t Destroy Old Items.  Contact Sarah Chapman (304-763-3600.)  Also at the Souvenir Booth, there will be program books, ribbons, hats, shirts, and some pottery is still available.  Hook-ups for RV’s are available on the grounds.  Rental fee for RV’s or tents is $15.00 per night. (Call Berndel Lilly (304-787-3326).  

Susan Weikle and Jimmy McBride, co-chairmen of the youth, work very hard to provide activities for the children and youth.  Many new and delightful activities have been introduced and will be included this year, and we will have a variety of the popular inflatable games.  Bring the children to the reunion, they will remember the fun and want to return.

The past three years, board members have made many improvements to the Lilly Reunion buildings and grounds.  We plan to continue this effort until everything is repaired, and then other needs will be addressed.  A shelter over parts of the seating area (40 x 60 ft.) in front of the stage, which will protect the audience from the sun and the rain has been completed.    Engraved plaques will be mounted on a post or placed in the dining area to designate memorial donations or individual donors.  These donations are $100 and can be made to Sarah Chapman.   Donations of a lesser amount will be printed in the program book (names only/ not amounts).  The Board of Directors greatly appreciates any contribution you can make.   It takes folks like you to meet the financial need to complete this project. We really appreciate your financial contributions.  For a contribution of $10.00 or more you will receive a free copy of the Lilly Reunion Program Book.  Please pick up your book at the Souvenir Booth.  In order to get your name in the 2007 program book, your donation must be received by July 10, 2007.   Make checks payable to the Lilly Reunion Association and mail to Mary Beth DeMaria, 40 Oriole Place, BEckley, WV 25801. 

This year the Lilly Reunion is featuring a "first ever" Antique Tractor Show and Parade.  Tractor owners-bring that Vintage Iron for the show.  To date, there will be tractors from West Virginia, Michigan and Georgia!  Bring them ALL!!
